At the request of the Cobb County Fire Investigations Unit, we would like to make everyone aware of recent arson fires in Cobb. The Georgia Arson Control Program offers up to $10,000 for any information that results in the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible for planning or committing arson. Please call (770) 499-3887 or 1-800-282-5804 if you have any information regarding this or any other arson fires.

Zone 4
On 09/23/2007 at 4:40 am, 2 vehicles parked in the driveway at 5338 Timber Ridge Road, Marietta, Georgia were intentionally set on fire.

Zone 5
On 09/24/2007 between the hours of 6:28 am and 10:40 am, 2 structure fires were reported to Cobb County Fire & Emergency Services. The first fire was reported at 3156 Colorado Drive, Powder Springs, Georgia. The second fire was discovered at 2758 Aruba Drive, Powder Springs, Georgia. Both fires were determined to be Arson.

Zone 5
On 10/01/2007 at 6:17 pm, a commercial building fire was reported to Cobb County Fire & Emergency Services. The fire was intentionally set inside the Super Wal-Mart located at 6520 Ernest Barrett Parkway, Powder Springs, Georgia.
